Labourer - Newcastle

We are looking for a hard-working, reliable and practical Labourer to join our team on ongoing site work.

The role will involve assisting with the removal and reinstatement of carpets, floor tiles and ceiling tiles as part of refurbishment and maintenance works. You will be working on active sites, so a good attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to follow instructions are essential.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is not afraid of physical work and takes pride in completing jobs properly. The successful candidate will need to be punctual, dependable and willing to get stuck in, working efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Removing and lifting carpets and floor coverings
  • Removing floor tiles safely and efficiently
  • Taking down ceiling tiles and assisting with ceiling strip-out works
  • Preparing areas for reinstatement
  • Reinstalling carpets, floor tiles and ceiling tiles as required
  • Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
  • Assisting tradesmen and other members of the site team
  • Following site instructions and health & safety procedures
  • Carrying out general labouring duties as required

Requirements

ESSENTIAL:

  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Face Fit certification
  • Previous experience in construction or general labouring
  • Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual work
  • Hard-working and willing to get stuck in
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good attitude and strong work ethic
  • Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
  • Good awareness of health and safety on site

What We’re Looking For

We want someone who turns up on time, works hard and can be relied upon. If you're the type of person who gets on with the job, takes instructions well and doesn't need to be constantly supervised, we'd like to hear from you.

Previous experience with strip-out, flooring, ceilings or refurbishment work would be an advantage, but the right attitude and reliability are equally important.

CSCS and Face Fit are a MUST. Candidates without these requirements will not be considered.
